TO ALL H1B visa holders: Kelan tayo pwede pumunta ng US? US earlier than the 10-day grace period.

Sa mga namatch last yr on h1b, ano ang experience nyo? My orientation kc ako ng June 15 and ang nilagay sa contract ko starting date is July 1. Please shed light on this.

to df 711..
To practice any branch of medicine here in States one needs to pass with flying colors USMLE STEP 1, STEP 2 CLINICAL KNOWLEDGE(ck), STEP 2 clinical skills(CS) and step 3( w/c can be taken b4,during or after residency but almost all of programs wants you to pass step 3 b4 residency or during 1st yr of residency)...

To be eligible to apply to programs( w/c was September2nd 2008 for Match 2009)&submit RANK ORDER LIST(ROL) one needs to bE ECFMG CERTIFIED(MEANING you passed steps 1&2CK&CS...this is the ideal way&THE BEST WAY..you can have step 1 score available to apply but b4 submission of ROL by mid February 2009 FOR EXAMPLE you need to passed step 2CK&CS or ECFMG CERTIFIED(ALTERNATIVE WAY)...

Thank you Psalm23 and Dr_Pinoy for sharing your H1b visa interview experience. So lahat tayo susunod dun sa sinasabi na not more than 10 days program start date na ruling?

@dc711- In my experience mas maganda kung natapos mo na lahat ng steps by the time you apply to programs and nakakatulong din kung may USCE. Good luck Smile

tanong ko lang sa nakakaalam: i'm in the philippines right now and i need to have my fingerprints taken on the FBI card. this is for the criminal background check which is part of the application process for the state license. does anyone know if i can just go to the local police station and have it done there? (hindi naman ako sa ted failon. hehe) i already have the fingerprint card with me. i'd appreciate your advice. thanks.

lucky_me.... ang alam ko with nurses who apply for NCLEX na kelangan din magpa fingerprint..they do it at the NBI office in Sta. Cruz/Carriedo...mabilis lang daw yun
