RN ka din pala. ako graduate din ng UST 2000, punta dito after internship. worked in research for about 2 years. had a a family and currently working as RN dito sa CA. hopefully, will join match 2010. tanong ko lang, did you talk about your RN experience during the interviews? anong field ka pala? i have a doctor here who promised to give me LOR pero i'm not sure if i should do observership pa sa ibang doctor. i do it here anyway. based on your experience, did it help you? sorry for the many q's,. thanks!

Hi guys. To all who have received their approval notice for H1-B, ano yung nakasulat na date sa inyo? Coz in my contract nakasulat na start date ng program is June 22. So I was thinking of leaving June 12. But when I received the petition form (I'm just waiting for the approval notice), nakalagay, program is from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2012. So I'm not sure kung kelan ako pwede umalis. Is the date on the approval notice the same as the visa validity? And if not, ano yung susundin sa port of entry? Thanks!

to RN2MD: The interviewers usually ask how did your RN experience help you in terms of knowledge&skills..i matched in Internal medicine...i told them it did helped me in terms of communication, knowing the american medical/health system... it is better to get US LOR than LOR from the Phils..Being RN as USCE..It depends on the interviewer but most of them consider it as good USCE becoz it is direct patient care..the more observership/externship the better...BOTTOM LINE IS the higher USMLE scores the better...the more US clinical experience either observership/externship the better...youve been working as an RN so better focus on your observership&have more LOR from US doctors the better but piliin mo.....sana mga director ng medical ICU or chairman ng internal medicine or director ng surgical ICU..The higher the position of your letter writer the more credible they are..The interviewers even call them to make it sure that they are telling the truth..

wow okey may mga pinoy din pala dito! hehehe! patulong naman ako sa inyo. i got a good enough score to pass step 1 after other previous attempt. still had to go for step 2cs&ck. im planning for 2010 residency kung papalarin! looking for OB, FM or IM, Psych program. Im here in Maryland 30 min drive to Baltimore thru spouse petition so wala po siguro ako problem sa visa. sana naman tulungan nyo rin ako incase for matching dito sa Maryland, NJ, NY, Pensylvennia or other nearby states na malapit sa family ko for 2010. salamat!

doc_harry and others on H1b.... wala ko naging problem entering US ng maaga on an H1b visa...my petition starts on june 22, april 29 ako dumating dito. ang tinanong lang sakin sa POE ung mga previous stays ko dito sa US. didn't even ask kung bakit maaga ko pumunta. hope this helps. goodluck!
