yes josh888, pwede kumuha ng driver's license sa Cali DMV. and that might be enough for renting a car out of Cali. xthine, try mo ulit mag-exam. kuha kayo ng handbook sa DMV then basahin ng once lang. ok na yun. then the driver's license will expire the same time your I-94 will expire. kayang-kaya nyo yan. and yung relatives/friends nyo dito matutulungan kayo, malamang may kilala silang nagwowork sa DMV or may alam silang mapagkukuhanan ng sample exams... shhhh.... siyempre secret yun. meron pa nga handbook na tagalog, yung title is "Hanbuk ng Tsuper sa California"...funny but true

Hi have_faith..my bro in law compiled all the sets of the DMV questionnaire..aralin ko daw lahat! hehe Yeah i'll probably take it again when I get there. I've no problem with the way they drive kaso i'm the type who still gets lost despite the GPS..kahit turn by turn navigation pa puro recalculating route hehe. Hirap pa naman if you miss the exit ano? *LOL*

you know what yung schoolmate ko na may interview sa harlem kinonfirm agad nila..one day after she replied and chose an interview date..i guess yung mga me request lkatulad natiin hindi pa kinonfirm. i hope theyre trying to squeeze us in to a later date..
i hope they will give us a word this week. they should because we have to make travel plans, like everbody else
i really hope so..but magpapa reserve na rin ako ng ticket...

@docshing: We have the same dilemma. Nov 7 pa ang flight ko and Harlem only gave me Oct 30 and 31 as choices for the dates of the interview. I emailed them requesting for an interview sa 2nd week of Nov. The program coordinator replied na right now, yun lang daw ang dates na available. I emailed them again requesting to put me on waitlist sa mga Nov interviews but so far wala pa reply. I plan to send a follow-up email this coming week. Sana ma-accomodate tayong lahat. Goodluck.

I have a batchmate in NY Downtown Hospital. Well, masaya naman sya sa program. They hold parties din and if same pa rin yung PD sabi nya ok daw PD nila. Easy to get along with. Pinuntahan namin yung place minsan. Ok naman.. May malapit na mall, bookstore, grocery.. May apartments din na provided na across the street lang from the hospital. Napansin lang namin, it was a weekend and the place didn't even look toxic that time. Mas marami raw patients pag weekdays kasi nasa business district sila.
Tama si johimd di naman kelangan na malapit dun sa hospital yung hotel mo kasi madali lang puntahan hospital via subway. =)

Oo nga sobrang mahal ng mga hotels dun. Pag isipan ko pa kung saan ako titira, pero after na lng sa exam ko. Magulo na yung ulo ko ngayon hehehe.

anyway, really? when you first replied, did you give them which dates you preferred to interview, i mean among the given choices of oct 30 and 31? or nag request ka agad na november na lang..?
in my case, i chose the date i preferred to be intrviewed, oct 31 and then a day after i think, i sent another email inquiring for availability of interview dates. did the PC tell you to wait for a confirmation email from them? Did she tell you to choose a date na lang?
nag reply ba kaagad yung PC sa first email mo? kasi until now i got no word from them :-(
yes, i hope ma accomodate tayo..andyan pa c michelle06 pro sabi nya flight nya ngayong monday na...anong airline mo if you don't mind...?

Docshing: Just wait for their email. Sa case ko, when i got their first email, oct 20 and 22 lng daw ang available dates and kelangan daw ng mspe before the IV date. So nagreply ako with my chosen date pero wlang reply na dumating. Then i wrote a follow up email with my mspe attachment ska sya nagreply na wla na daw yung october slot pero nagbigay sya ng dates for november. I think that same day nagreply na sya ng confirmation. By batch ata kc sya magsend ng confirmation kaya medyo matagal and when you received a confirmation, lahat ng names ng applicants for IV on a particular date nasa email so malalaman mo kung may kakilala ka na my IV din.
