Although I had equal number of categorical and prelim interviews - I ranked only categorical programs.

My realization during the whole match process is - Surgery is becoming very competitive- more competitive than in the past. But, anything is possible.
My credentials are - 1999 grad - Post graduation in surgery from India - MRCS - four years at Oxford, UK. 237/255 in step 1 and step 2. step 3 results next week. Few international publications and good few presentations at various levels.
All UK LOR's only. No US LORs. NO USCE.
As I had seen in nearly all of the institutes, nearly all IMGs get into categorical spots only after prelims. This means atleast get some USCE during the coming months before applying for the next match.
