Im a 2006 grad. Low scores a problem for me too. How about an externship? Any luck gettin that. You know anywhere i could try?

Well Dude, if you can spend some money and do an Psychiatry externship for 3-4 months, its gonna work wonders for you. The more of externship you do, the more you solidify your position.
On the other hand, you can also take step 3. Psychiatry programs like Step 3.
Do these two things and I guarantee you a place in Psychiatry next match.
But yes...work on your Personal Statement.
Meanwhile, join some Psychiatry JRship in India.

As far as getting a Psychiatry externship is concerned, I guess you can try FMG america . They can arrange it. Don't worry. They do help.

Iv had just one call and honestly i dont think average profiles r gonna get any more calls.

last year only 15% of total matched were non-US imgs in Psychiatry.
Thats less than IM or neurology.

I am applying to the Psychiatry match for 2010. I am very worried because i applied to 70 programs and only heard back from 9. When do psychiatry programs typically send out interviews? This is very concerning....
