My perception, IMGs will not be affected adversely. Probably there might be more residency slots??!! Doesn't say about any visa restrictions anywhere!! Let me see what you guys think!!

are you kidding of course in the long run it will affect IMG's..remember that funding for residency spots comes from medicare..this is cutting into each state budget for medicaid and medicare especially NY which will take a 1 billion dollar cut in the 1st year alone..if anything this will definitely negatively impact us, but i see absolutely no way it can have a positive impact on us..not sure obviously just based on facts presented however only time will tell

yup, you will earn lower, and if in a govt setup, your medicaid money will likely never come to you... they have to bend the cost curve, you see.. subspeciality should be ok. pcp will see no change or less. question is: are you giving up your residency position coz of that??
