What do you use Allopurinol, Probenecid...

For prevention they use Allopurinol, probenecid and sulfinpyrazone.
Not during acute attack.
For acute attack use NSAIDs steroids if needed.
Colchicine in first 24 hrs of attack, c/i to NSAIDs and as a part of preventive tx

acute case:
ist line --NSAID except ASPIRIN, usually indomethasine
or colchicine
older patient, any contra of NSAID -- steroid
to prevent chronic attack:
Allopurinol,
Probenecid
