@migsmd and edc678, thanks for the help, as far as I can remember yun two weeks na rotation lang sa psychiatry ang kulang ko, pero I dont know kung base sa assesment nila eh magiging ganun. San banda and metropolitan hospital?

To all those concern na gustong mag rotate for completion of their deficiency sa Norwalk, and housing is a problem ( which was my concern before). May mga kababayan tayo na malapit sa area--- that have some rental rooms. Hindi ko pa actually na-try,( and haven't seen the place yet) kasi mag start palang ako nang JUly.
And by the way, merong rotation schedule na finofollow sa pag-tanggap nang interns sa Norwalk plus meron mga paperworks involve. So plan ahead of time.

@edc ano ba daw deficiency mo kasi nakita ko reqts PTAL 8 weeks rotations sa surgery and medicine, tapos 6 weeks sa obgyne and pediatrics tapos 4 weeks sa fam med and psychiatry, ano pala yun 72 weeks?

according sa "special Ptal" na binigay nila sa akin, deficient ako nag 6 weeks sa electives, so I can rotate kahit anong spaecialty. Naiisip ko na gawin narin ang psyche, dahil balak ko na mag-apply nang psyc next matching as fallback just in case hindi ako makakuha nang FM(1st choice).
Siguro somehow kung meron akong psyc rotation dito, makakuha ako nang IV sa psych (hopefully). Iyun ang naging issue sa friend ko during his intv sa psych--he had hard time convincing the pd na talagang psych ang gusto nya--bec wala syang gaanong psych exposure.
Usually your school alam na nila kung anong ilalagay nila at isisend sa ca medical board. Yung 72 weeks is the clinical hours na you have to comply for your clerkship(because iyun and clinical hours nang mga AMG)--- iyon yung total nang IM, surgery etc rotations mo.
I had an argument with the licensing analyst of ca med board about this, because they wont believe na every 3 days ang 24 hours ang duty natin- kaya lampas tayo nang 72 weeks kung tutuusin-she said we are overdoing it, na it is impossible. I also questioned them na bakit magiging 72 weeks ang rotation nang 4th year AMG?, while there is only 56 weeks in a year. Pero eventually, I just dropped it, because I'm just wasting my time with them.

Guys,if you already applied for PTAL,tapusin nyo na,gawin nyo na yung deficiencies kasi pabor sa mga pinoy ang CA.. Madami akong nakikita na pinoy na rresidente dito sa Northern CA , FM prog sa Merced,Modesto . So go for it.

I agree with marsky. To those who plan to apply in california, better start the PTAL process early. I am a california resident and I did not apply for the PTAL because of the deficiency thing that I have been hearing from my friends. Though many of them went through and finished the process naman. Kaya mas maaga, mas maganda.
Mga kabayan - did your programs contact you already? Sa mga kelangan mag-process ng visas sa Pinas, good luck. Tiyaga lang ang kelangan. I went through the H1 visa processing two years ago, ok naman. So, galingan ninyo.
