dun sa nagaask kung pwede apply na kahit di pa ecfmg cert..oo you may apply, kahit nga step 1 pa lang result mo (well depends on the program requiremnts ng aaplayan mo), just as long as u get certified before the match result in march...

Hello mga kababayan..so nice to see all of you.
@ toxicmd- nakaraos na din ako. I delivered 2 weeks early.Super puyatan na.di nga ako masyado makapag aral. May question ako. Yung ipapadala natin sa ERAS na docs, certified copy ng transcript and med school diploma, tama ba? Then submit this with the DSF form? Gusto Ko Lang maliwanagan Ito. Salamat.

@chelsieanne - congratulations!! boy or girl???? mga ipapadala sa ECFMG para sa ERAS: Original na MSPE or Dean's Letter, original na LoR, clear xerox copy ng medical transcript (di kailangang certified), di na kailangan mag-submit ulit ng med school diploma. Make sure kasama sa mail mo ung DSF at LoR Cover sheet.
haaayyy... tapos na ako sa isa kong internship, super bait ng doctor na kasama ko. very busy ang practice nya.... at ang bababit ng mga pasyente nya.
three more weeks at Sept 1st na. Nakaka-kaba na exciting hehehe...

okidok - Wala akong experience using matching agencies. marami akong nabasa at narinig na scams daw yung mga ganun but I really dont know if it's true. Ang sigurado is that it will cost you a lot. So, if I were you, just make sure you do your reseach well. maging masigasig ka sa pag follow-up at sa paghahanap ng networks and then save your money for the application.
chelsieanne - Congratulations! Simula na ang puyatan, tama ka, hehe. Pero I think simula na yan ng swerte mo. I agree with toxicmd, you dont have to send a cert copy of your transcript. But do send orig MSPE and LOR, a photocopy of your transcript together with the DSF. Pero by now, you should have sent them already. It takes at least 4 weeks by this time for your documents to be uploaded, kaya i-send mo na agad once you have them with you.
pinaymd12 - You could actually schedule your interviews in such a way na magwork for you. it does not have to be in Oct. What I did was when I received my invites, I scheduled the program that I like most the last, that way, practisado na ako mag-interview. Pero style ko lang yun. It will be upto you. of course, if you are prematch material then it is better to schedule things earlier. So depende. Good luck!
Re post-gradute internship sa Pinas - I included it sa CAF. It is an important part of our medical CV so dont leave that out. Basta ang inilagay ko is Post-graduate Rotating Internship. And then describe nyo na lang, lagay nyo mga procedures na ginawa ninyo, etc etc.
Re externships/observerships - Ilagay nyo lang din. be careful lang din sa description. They say that California is strict sa mga ganyan. I really dont know. Pero nilagay ko parin. Basta lagi kong nilalagay sa description na andun yung attending present, etc etc.
3 weeks na lang. I hope na-submit nyo na ang mga documents nyo, nakapag-research na ng programs, handa na ang mga credit cards hehe at higit sa lahat handa na sa proseso. THIS IS IT! Wala ng urungan! You will be the next batch of Pinoy MDs here in the US! good luck, everyone!

buti ka pa nakakuha ng internship. Nag apply ka ba? Ako, Im hoping for the best this matching season. Ipinanalangin ko na Lang din na sana maging maganda ang results ng match para sa atin. Gaya mo,napapaisip din minsan kung ano magiging kapalaran ko. Parang naooverwhelm ako sa dami ng gagawin on top of my new life. Gagawin Ko na lang Kung ano magagawa ko sa ngayon.
