Okay.....I have been watching those kaplan dvds for a month now and its NEVER ENDING!!!.....and I know I am never going to finish them!! So, this is the last week of July....I am on a 24 hour USMLE reading recitation now.....I have stopped watching the pathetic tapes!!! And now I am just going to read aloud in my room from the Kaplan lecture notes and RR book. And I am aiming to finish this reading by July 31st ....which is the last day of ths month!! After that I will start UW. Becoz I cant spend more time watching those DVDs which are ruining my life!!!.....And I am going to use this thread to report how much I have recited aloud.... just to keep myself motivated!!! (I hope this works!!! becoz I am sick and tired of preparing for this test and of studying in life in general!!!)

I started with Anatomy....Histology.....did 6 pages ......and am on the 7th page....functions of SER now.......

now done upto page 12.....next is cytoskeleton on page 13.......going to take a break to make some coffee!!! ....as I am dozing off!!!!

hi kashvi..umm i think its good to take breaks in between when you are watching videos. They are alot but doable. From my experience, if i sit and listen constantly for long time i dont retain anything and get so sick of the material. well jst my opinion. good luck and dont lose ur voice

Why dont you watch the videos at a faster playback speed?? thats what i did when i got tried of them...around 1.5x...if you need any help on how to change the speed, let me know..

Hey there buddy,
yeh dont lose ur voice. Actually u dont really need to watch the videos, if you are thorough in the materials. I would recommend the videos for pharm, physio and biochem. If you are already good with these subjects then you dont need them. When you read aloud to urself and you dont understand certain concepts then go that part of the video for explanations. Hope it works. and all the best reading aloud.
