acc to ques lymphocytic pleocytosis,a normal glu conc. , and a slightly increased protein conc.. goes in favour of viral or fungal etiology but not bacterial .. and =ve indian ink test,m thinking of cryptococcous ???

key says E. but im doubtful so could u explain why E???

you are thinking absolutely right .
this is cryptococus..that has thick poltsacharide capsule .
