0 - ArchivalUser - 02-21-2011 lolared50 looks perfect to me.....you have nailed it!!! Good luck!! 0 - ArchivalUser - 02-21-2011 illusion54 Thanks for the luck..... I sure need it and prayers too. Good luck to you 0 - ArchivalUser - 02-21-2011 @ bruster: sorry, one more question Why would you rank UMDNJ higher than UT-H and Creighton? is the reason the ratio of residents to patients? Or learning to working ? Thanks a lot 0 - ArchivalUser - 02-21-2011 illusion54 ratio of residents to patients. At the end of the day if you have no time to read literature you can be seeing more and more patients and making same mistakes. If you care for optimal number of patients and get a chance to read your care of pateints improves through the residency......that a was honest opinion one of the PDs gave to me.....and I think it could be true...... just identify and avoid extremes of situations. 0 - ArchivalUser - 02-21-2011 Thanks a Ton Wish you match in your first choice program 0 - ArchivalUser - 02-21-2011 bruster Univ of Arkansas vs SLU, SIU and Hennepin: - Strong research - Reputation - All fellowship - Strong addiction psych (*) - H1B visa - Number of residents - I felt really good here, compared to other interviews SLU: is good program, but I felt that program is dominated by Neurology. but residents were happy, and I liked them all. strong in geriatric psych only. SIU: Good program, but 100% IMG here (I am looking for diversity) Location (other reason for ranking them low) Hennepin: Somehow I am trying to avoid Minnesota. I want to rank them high, but I am not able to Hopefully I am doing the right thing here. GL 0 - ArchivalUser - 02-21-2011 you are doing perfectly right..... sorry for my ignorance about univ of Arkansas!!!!! 0 - ArchivalUser - 02-21-2011 Thanks bruster. Good luck to all of us Wish we all get match where we would be happy |
