illusion 54: i am also contemplating if i should go for the exam..primarily for financial reasons, i dont think they will iv next day...it maybe a couple of weeks before u hear from them, so very likely we may have to make 2-3 trips..i am not sure how many positions they have.
abciximab1 : the person with 12 ivs was a double 99 er, with ongoing psych research and observership exp in a university psych department also im residency from home country.
as for myself, i am glad that i have ivs but do not know if that is enough to match..u hear people with 1 iv match while sometimes people with 10-12 dont, it depends on ur luck as well as if u make that connection during the iv.
my creds are ok except for one major thing..old grad, 81/92, cs all 1st attempt, 1 yr 3 mths usce in psych, 4 lors - 3 psych/ 1 primary care, mha, no visa required.
so in the end nothing is guaranteed till u match, in that sense we are all in the same boat!
