Hypothyroidism leads to chemical imbalance (in general) which may subsequently affect serotonin, and endorphin in the system hence depression. If your body isn™t producing enough thyroid hormone it can make your life miserable. You are tired, irritable, moody, depressed, you can™t concentrate and you feel as if you are losing your grip on your sanity and your life. Below are secondary effects of hypothyroidism; Diminished libido Headache Hoarseness Slow thinking Forgetfulness (66%) Slow speech (91% These symptoms wil cause a sort of depression regardless of the hormonal imbalance.
