@cyclepsychkal

Congrats or securing 11 IVs. By statistics you can already fancy your chances of selection.Havent fixed the Elizabeth IV. Thanks for the offer to practice as well, but I wonder if that possible with the time difference of well over 10 hours.
Whats with the need for female partner though? Good to know that you have heterosexual likings..And I checked out Indian porn..It really sucks.

@morris81

arent you from india? you never checked out indian porn before?

By IV practice, I meant identifying some interesting cases and discussing them...anyways, when you are in america, call me..

@cyclepsychkal
Currently my job is just killing me and leaves me with no energy to even think about any possible IV questions. But I guess the most commanly asked question is "Tell us about yourself...". The other Qs I faced last year was "Why Us?", Tell us about your strengths and weaknesses.." (I was thinking..J@c%@$$..Did you not read all 900 words of SOP I wrote?)
Where do you see yourself 10 years from today?(I almost wanted to tell the PD..in your seat with that sexy coordinator of yours..) and so on..

I think the only Question I am certainly prepared with is "Describe the most interesting case you have seen.."

@cyclepsychkal

Sorry to say that I wont be taking chances by sharing identifying info.

About the cases and answering the question on Interesting cases seen/ managed..I think a lot depends on which place you are IVing.

For Eg. I have decided to talk about follwing cases at following places resp:
1) Elmhurst: It is a community program with 0 academics and research, so primary aim will be to show off clinical experties, So will be discussing case with a diagnostic dilemma and how I was good enough to identify subtle symptoms, and diagnose and treat the case successfully.

2) Nassau: Same as above

3) Elizabeth DC: This is a state sponsored specialized psychiatry only program. As I went through their site, I realized they have a good deal of emphasis on psychotherapeutic interventions, so I will be discussing a case which was very difficult to manage with psychopharmacology and even ECT but responded well to combined psychotherapeutic and bilogical treatment.

4) Mississippi U.: Apparantly a good program. Very heavy funding on research. I will be discussing a case which highlights neurobilogical approach and innovative treatment modality I tried out successfully..highlighting how further research can help us in cases like this.

what is your credentials, psych4ever?

0 - ArchivalUser - 09-30-2011

@cyclepsychkal

Nothing really went wrong.I had applied on 2nd november, and had only 2 IVs. The place which was interested in me, did not care for the fact that my certificatoin was pending, and the other program I was interested in required certification to be completed, which happened post ROL submission date Sad..So had to give up on my hopes.
