'Can you guys at least pretend to be professional? Are we the doctors or uneducated getto people? Don't flood the forum with crap' THIS STATEMENT DEF. REFERS NOT TO THAT ONE STATEMENT BY THE PERSON WHO MENTIONED PORN ANYWAY DISAPPOINTED IN YOU MORRIS.

psych25,
you are correct, the forum is the place where people discuss stuff. But please remember that it is referred to the valuble/important staff, to make the forum a place where people come to ask questions and get answers, or just to get support and a peace of mind... regardless of what country they came from.

Morris81,
To answer one of your earliest questions, there is no answer of how old is too old. The age is and ATTITUDE, and not just a number of birthdays. I am the oldest resident of my program and got there from the first match, while people younger than me had 2-3 tries...

GL to all,
E.

@erg, thank you for being understanding, I know what you are eluding to, we have had a lot of fights and have said some very unpleasant, even derogatory, things on this thread, but in the end we all have become friends. I think all those conflicts probably helped us understand each other better and become more tolerant. I don't think anyone hates anyone here. Yeah, some of us like to crack a joke ( with regards to the 'porn' comment) just to break the monotony, but that's it.

I understand and agree on the "jokes" part but try to prevent what hapened during previous years...
That's all.
GL,
E.

@erg,

You said that you are an old grad, would you mind telling me if you are also doing a psych residency? I'm an old grad too, but was'nt sitting around all these yrs doing nothing (I did a psych residency in the UK) and I completely agree, it's really our attitude.....

A lot of people post their credentials here and ask about their chances, but really I don't think anybody knows anything for sure. Since you are already in residency would you mind throwing some light on it? Would really appreciate any input that you may give. Thanks!

Mr erg????

Wow! you disappeared pretty quickly!!!! Now is that surprising or what? So, basically, you did'nt mind just dropping by and giving your sermons as to how we should behave like 'doctors' and when I ask you a real question, you just disappear!!! Speaks volumes about the kind of person you are....totally unreliable, someone who's just watching his own back.

psych25,
After what you just said, I really don't want to talk anymore, especially to people like you...
But for the rest of the people, I can say that overall credentials, and not YOG or scores that matter. I had mid-80th scores, graduated in 80-th, and matched into the progam of my 2nd choice. Everything is possible.
GL to all except you, dear psych25.
E.
