Guys where in the Kaplan book is the explanation for increased NH3 as a side effect of acetozolamide given, someone told it's in. Kaplan but I can't find it anywhere , so if u do know where it is given specifically do tell

Dear friend,
In Kaplan, it's not clearly told why, but we can see it through mechanism of acetazolamide, inhibits carbonic anhydrase -> decreased ability to exchange Na+ for H+ -> HCO3 is retained in the lumen, with marked elevation in urinary pH
NH3 is a base
A base in a alkaline environment -> non ionized -> cross membrane and go into blood -> hyperammonia.
