how many people got positions through soap..
is it not frustrating to have last ditch hope ..fighting to apply last minute and then ...what do you get....................?
I mean .......it is one thing not to match but to give this last ditch hope of cammy value is ...ridiculous...
some one tell me I might be wrong ..

No one is forcing you to participate. SOAP itself costs you nothing after the NRMP fee. For the 800 or so that land a residency or internship, it is very much worth it.

Yes, through the main match (IM), but someone from my school last year didn't match in ortho and SOAPed a rads spot. SOAP was absolutely worth it to him.

soap is really for AMGs, and typically programs go for people they already know, so in a way SOAP isn't for us IMGs maybe for the caribbean grads, but not for everyone else...
