Any IMG planning on applying to state of California, I hear ther is a diff process, plz care to share if you ve any info

To apply to CA programs you will need to submit PTAL (Californial letter) along with your application. This is the only difference. For more info about PTAL google it and visit medical board of California website. The application for PTAL is there so read it carefully before you start the process.

application and issuing of PTAL is one lengthy process.. so be ready for that

at minimum 2 months .. usually 3 months.. at maximum 4 months.

$400 for PTAL...and honestly, California isn't that IMG friendly except for in the valley...Unless u have excellent credentials, california is one of those states tht should be forgotten about

I say this cuz i have done rotations with my medical school in California, and have a friend who matched there only after getting 2 Interviews from the entire state...!
