fibrinolytics/throombolytics/warfarin/heparin - edirneechal - ArchivalUser - 08-17-2014 Hi all any body can give a quick review on this --- my weak area , as soon as I see a question I start to panic. Cardio within 90 mins stoke within 3 hrs PE something DVT.... 0 - ArchivalUser - 08-17-2014 PE-HEPARIN immediately and warfarin same night. Give both until INR is between 2-3. Then stop heparin, discharge the patient and continue warfarin for 6 months with followup for checking if INR is between 2-3 everytime. DVT: heparin and same night Warfarin.If below knee DVT on doppler, Continue warfarin for 3 months only. Above knee DVT give 6 months warfarin. Source is from kaplan. Do add more points anyone. |
