@thedoublehelix. This is my 4th time applying, and not mean to sound discouraging but the match gets tougher every year. This is the prime time for IVs, and will slow down by the end of the month. Then a few in Nov, Dec, and January.

@Alternativemedicine, since you are an AMG, you should have more IVs except you applied to a few program.

Goodluck to everyone. It is a tough process, but we can only hope for the best.

makes me wonder why nobody here heard from a tonne of programs esp in the northeast.
no acknowledgements/ rejections or interviews. Are they all going to people outside the forum,that we dont see any activity here? thats kinda hard to digest too..

People have heard from programs. They just don't post it on the forums. But, I will say it seems very slow this year compared to previous years. That's probably because it gets slower each year. DO's also apply to MD programs which makes competition worst.

thedoublehelix this is what it was like last year in FM

Its rough for IMGs, I posted the stats early in the thread and was told "no its not true" they are directly from NRMP and a very low percentage match in FM.
