People who matched please create a good image of yourself in the department as it will be good for you.
Also, that affects other people from your country. It affects their interview calls and outcome. More importantly it makes an image of your county and people in their mind which is hard to change as they cannot go and visit each nation in the world and understand the culture and people.
When giving observerships too, they will think that the person applying will be like other residents and faculty from his country. The same thing happens in interviews.
