hi friends
are kaplan lectures useful for step2. i have the books-2005 edition . do i need to buy the DVDs of kaplan lectures as well??

They are definitely helpful......not as helpful as they were for step 1, but still helpful, 'cos a lot of things that don't make sense in notes get clarified. I couldn't have done without them as I am an old graduate (from 1997) and had been out of Medicine since then.

Why don't you read a couple of chapters from the notes, and if u think you are getting everything, then maybe u don't need the lectures.
BUT, the CV, hematology, Infections lectures by Dr. COnrad Fischer were V V helpful in memorizing things.

Yes, very helpful. I first didn't like the style but later I found every teacher is great. I like Dr. Fisher, the Psychiatric teacher, Obgyn teacher and endocrinology teacher the best. Surery teacher has a strong accent but his note is the best. By listening to the lectures, a lot of important points are emphasized. Worth doing it.
