can someone tell the difference between hirsutism and virilization.. I have a conflicting account in my note.

hirsutism.........is just hair in female where it should not be......while virilization means.....male characteristic......that includes......hair + baldness + deep voice........etc.

hope this will help.

as above
plus
if there is virization...there is hirsutism
but
when there is hirsutism...this does not mean there is virization
virlization occurs in Tumors like adrenal ca or adnexal ca.

Thanks, but how do they relate to the levels of TESTOSTERONE and DHEAS?

DHEAS increased in VIRILIZATION, while testosteron is normal,
TESTOSTERON is increased in HIRSUTISM..while DHEAS is normal in that case.
