Redoing medical school!!! - eagle1981 - ArchivalUser - 10-07-2016

Hey guys,

I just want to see if any of you have any idea on how to redo the medical school??
Does ECFMG verify that new degree??
Does ECFMG recertify you again??
Which year of graduation you will use??
Which transcript you are going to use??
Which deans letter you are going to use??
How the PDs will look at your ERAS application, is bad or good??

Your comments are highly appreciated guys. Thank you in advance.

To be brutally honest with you, the fact that you're asking this particular question is seriously beyond anybody's imagination, and it goes on to show that the overall intelligence of the entire medical graduate community, especially among IMGs, is nothing different from that of the rest of the society.

not to sound crude but in all honesty, stay away, mate. you dont sound like a medical material. do something else for a decent living. If you like to challenge yoursel try climbing Mount Everest or a thing like that and move on.

No medical school will award an MD to someone that already has an MD. DO school is theoretically possible, but realistically, it's probably time to find a new career path.

I don't know what to do more than redoing the medical school to sound like a medical material!!! I don't think I am ready to give up my dream yet ;-)

Thank you guys for your response.

to be honest, i would go the DO route. Finish there and apply to DO specific programs and you can take COMLEX.
but don't take my word for it, this is what I would do. If this is your passion and you can't live without it and have the means for it, i say you go for it. It does not matter what anyone says.
While i read all this, your questions showed that you are still a little naive, but that is 'okay'.
This time of the year is often difficult and we all come out with our inner child.
No one knows you personally here, so i wouldn't worry too much about anyone saying anything

eagle1981:
Redo medical school may too time consuming and costly. Why don't try working as PA that is very much like a doc., if you still want to be a doctor, you can start from there.
