Observership opportunity - manoj2038 - 04-05-2022

We are accepting a few more applications for the 2-month observership program for the May-June block. Interested applicants can email us at hfnexternship@gmail.com. I have included additional details here.

Duration
-2 months
-5 days per week, 2-3 hours per day at the applicant’s convenience

Rotation details
-Mock patient interaction with a medical assistant and virtual shadowing with a physician before starting real patient interaction
-Applicants learn about medication reconciliation, interviewing techniques with geriatric patients on a regular basis
-Weekly clinical and research didactics
-Research classes and journal club by a research scientist and a cardiologist

Benefits of rotation
-US clinical experience: patient note writing skills, ability to formulate assessment and plan, and introduction to multiple EMR system
-Research experience
-Didactics and presentation practice
-2 Letters of recommendation by clinical and research preceptors

Rotation fee:
Donation of $1000 to non-profit Health Foundation Nepal to support the Non-communicable Disease Project in rural countries.
