Furnished Spare Room in suburban, owner-[2nd fl.]-occupied, pvt. home in S. Ozone Pk., in a mid-income area nr Queens/Nassau border & JFK airport. This is an Eco-friendly, vegetarian, holistic home with indoor cats. It’s a 1 fam., 2 story home in a culturally diverse, close knit neighborhood. It is solar-powered, energy-efficient, with excellent heat & AC. Free 24/7 parking. Uber/Lyft service the area and Zip car rentals nearby. There is a brief ride to the IND subways and brief walk to buses.
The 1st floor rental room is a fully furnished, sunny bedroom with: two windows, walled artifacts, desk and chairs, DVD/Firestick-TV, Wi-Fi, and next to a full bath. Roomer is responsible for the upkeep of the room and helps to keep sanitized/tidy other shared areas. A small storage area is available at no charge.
Share: Kit., [microwave/toaster/range top/blender/coffee maker], and designated cabinet & refrig. storage areas; DN & LV seating, outdoor grounds and seasonal, heated/filtered pool [grill, patio, lounges] & lower level billiards. Optional- lower level, low-fee, spa amenities. Also, assist outdoors as winter seasonal needs may dictate.
There are standard safety devices: fire extinguishers, CO2 and smoke/fire detector/alarms, and premises security.
Walk to: laundries, grocery shops, take-out eateries, pharmacies, banks, athletic courts, fitness parks, Crunch gym, tennis, boating. The room is next to a semi-pvt., ADA full bath. Share 1st fl [Kit., DN, LV, Library] Housemate is responsible for maintaining the rented room and bath and helping keep tidy other shared areas. A small lower level luggage storage area is available at no charge. Share minor, year round maintenance chores on main floor and grounds [incl. snow removal], as expected in exchange for this low rent.
