Chlorthalidone - bijjar

A 67 y/o women who is a regular pt calls the office bcz she has developed severe muscle weakness, muscle cramps and poly urea. She began treatment 6 weeks ago with 50mg of chlorthalidone daily for mild to moderate essential Htn. The most likely explanation for her symptom is the development of which of the following:-

A) DM

B) Hypokalemia

C) Hypomagnesemia

D) Hyponatremia

E) Metabolic Acidosis
