I think that no specialty is better than other it only depends on your preferences. I like IM most because I like hospital life much more than outpatient clinic. So I think it depends on you.

There is no specialty better than the other. I can't believe this question.

You have to come to terms with what YOU want to do.

Eg., some people think colorectal surgery is most unappealing and gross; others thrive on it.. some love radiology, others want more patient contact, etc...

Some love the prestige of neurosurgery, others want to specialise in something with at least some chance of not turning every patient into a vegetable (ok, I exaggerate).

A good FP is worth his/her weight in gold, I think. But some people would prefer working in a hospital setting..

There's no right answer, capiche?
