all the pt who has inc risk of morbidity and mortality (these include DM, CHF, renal failure, liver dz) pt who have mental status changes RR >30

TLC > 20000 or <4000

1) Age >65yrs
2) Coexisting Disease like DM,RF,HF,CLD,Ch Alcholism, Immunosuppression and neoplastic disease. 3) Clinicle finding + Hypoxia requiring O2, RR>30b/m, systolic BP<90mmhg, or diastolic <60mmhg, temp > 38.3C, AMS, Extra pulmonary site of infection (meningitis, septic arthritis) 4) Lab tests, WBC<4000 OR >30000, PO2 <60 few more, like pleural effusion, Multilobar , Hct of 30% I think this is enough to get this guy in to hospital. |
