A (very naughty) little boy fell while running down the hall with scissors in his hand. The scissors stabbed him in the lateral side of the thorax, went entirely through the skin and were prevented from puncturing a lung by hitting a rib. The wound bled rather profusely, but the wound did not appear to be life threatening. The bleeding was controlled by pressure on the lateral side of the thorax.
