6 yr old girl with 1 day h/o vomiting and headachae and weakness.1 month ago she had a resection of astrocytoma and placement of an ventriculo atrial shunt .now she is drowsy and irritable .temp--99.5 bp--126/54
rr-24.fundoscopy shows pappiledema ...reflexes are increased in lower limb mechanism?

a0 carcinomatous infil of CSF
b) malfunction of teh shunt
c) increased CSF production by choroid plexus pappiloma
d) recuurance of astrocytoma
e) trombosis of sup sagital sinus

Malfunction of the shunt with infection , symptoms of raised ICT and fever , that is the common cause , lower limb fibres are carried more out wards in the spinal cord compared to upperlimb fibres which are more inside in the spinal cord so in increased ICT CSF presuure is increased in spinal canal causin lower limb fibres compression first leading to the above presentation
