Friends,bad experience in cs..Extremely worried... - bokhari
#1
Dear friends and seniors,I took exam 3 days ago after good preparation but made many blunders due to unnecessary exam tension.I followed the usual protocol for history taking and physical exam(using transition sentences and permissions),greeting and closing were normal. My patient notes were fine(I think). But my mistakes were really huge.
I hav'nt draped the patient except while doing abdominal exam(though expose areas 1 by 1,took permission for tying and untying worn gown)and then remove the drape completely. In short I hav'nt covered the patient's legs(beside abd.exam)in all 12 encounters).I counseled 2 to 3 patients out of 6.I forgot to summerize the history(surprised becoz had practiced)and closed encounters by telling them differential and some investigations.Did answer challenging qs.Another big mistake is that I only took history and hav'nt said any words of sympathy(like"I will take care of your child,I am here to help you and will do my best).I was prepared but nervousness destroyed everything..Now I will get my result in December and you know that 31st Dec.is the deadline..Is that mean that I have lost the match this year??If
I deposit my application(for cs)in Dec(after result)and spent hours infront of computer, then I may be able to get cs date in mid or late Dec(if my luck works)I think? What you people suggest me??Thanks to all of you.

BTW, what materials did you use? Could you list the cases encountered?
Thanks

I think u have done fairly well, so u have a good chance of passing. ANyway whatever happens, u r thru with ur part as of now, so pray and njoy urself. There is no point in unnecessary worries, though it is tough not to worry. As such xwxf has very welll said it. So my suggestion is njoy and hope for the best. ALL THE BEST :-)
