how to discharge the patient from ward?? - ferhan

if patient in ccs is in the ward and you have ot discharge the patient from the ward to the home or office...then ... how will you write the orders? will you write the order first and then send to home or send home first and then write the orders

In Order/review chart before sending pt home d/c all I/V, monitors if any, leave any med you want and add any drug which you want to send, then click on change position to home, remember never send any pt with i/v in, or any catheter or tube in, to d/c all these, click on it pop will ask if you want to d/c the order click on yes. Do all this practice on your CD couple of times.

i just want to ask one more thing that there is no such order exists which says take out the iv line or tube...
just we have to clik on the choice and cancel it by hitting yes
...
am i right.???
