scores requirment for step3 - gmh

hi ppl, need some advice. I plan to take step 3 CS. Although i know few of my friends who took it hurriedly and passed with a 75 etc. How far does it matter i.e the scores. Do you have to strive to score high as in Step 1 and Step 2 and how will it affect in the future.
Realistically i know for IMGS it is advisable for the H1 visa. Kindly enlighten.
