You can look up the NMRP match manual
74 / 3745 american IMGs (~2%)
52 / 5976 foreign IMGs (< 1%)
I remember reading a post a long time ago from someone who wanted to only apply for the SOAP, which IMO is quite stupid. The SOAP is not an easier backdoor way to getting in. If anything, I would bet these people were decent applicants that overshot their legitimate chances during the actual application ie applying for radiology with decent numbers but ending up in IM after the SOAP
