I would definitely suggest this......Apply in a few hospitals in the area in which you live. THat will not count for a whole lot of money. Gain some interview experience. At the same time, if you try..you might...if you dont..it wont.....So give it a shot. You have nothing to loose other than a few dollars. The most important thing that you will gain out of this is interview experience. SO GO FOR IT.........I would like to put it this way........
Studying for CS......lot of hard work
Applying at the same time......a few extra dollars
Interview experience and chance for a spot......PRICELESS
