deficiency of Hypocretin/orexin NT system in hypothalamus is responsible for symptoms of Narcolepsy.

hypocretin causes Gprotein activation....this leads to increase in Ach release in pontine reticular formation causing arousal.also stimulates appetite n feeding.

mutation of hypocretin gene impares protein transport n processing.

i have that mutation and surprisingly it is only activated just before my tests.
