If someones looks for a pre-match, regardless as what some of you may think, an observership does matter-it's your gateway to an interview sometimes; of course if you have stellar scores and a great cv you won't need it, but otherwise it might boost a small cv and average scores...and considering that each hospital has a big pool of people willing to do observerships, guess who they are more likely to pick: someone unknown or someone recommended by one of the resident!! You guess :-) I know how things work in my hospital anyway!
