yes ...from what i understand i think if u have applied for advanced & prelim positions, but ended up matching with prelim & not in advanced then u can scramble for advanced.
someone can correct me if i'm wrong

no, not for categorical positions..........but for advanced positions like drswapna mentioned.....there is a difference.

sorry cadenza, in that scenario you will be seen as "matched" and will not have access to the unfilled positions.
