A 25 blonen blue eyes woman, come to the office for her prenatal care, she is at 12 wks, she tells you that she is bisexual. so she ask to do everything for diagnosis HIV or any STD. you run some test, and they back with AgsB positive.( hepatitis B+) what is the best nex step in management in this patien:
1-do nothing is no risk for transmition
2-gige HBV vaccine and IV IG for HBV to the mother and scheduled for a c section
3-Give to the mother vaccine and IG for HBV infection and the baby after C section
3-give to the baby both HBV and IG after delivery
4-give to the mother IG for HBV and both for the baby after C section

33333-hep b vaccine n Ig is not a contracdiction to pregnancy

Two 3s, which is the one you refer? I guess the second 3. Right? Anything with Csection is wrong, vaginal delivery is okay.

the second 3 is rt,baby should be given both immunoglobulins and vaccine


mother is already positive so no need of vaccine or immunoglobulin

yes, I am sorry the second 3, you need to shot the baby with vaccine and IV IG. do nothid to the mother 30 % resolve expontanously. HBV is not a indication for C section. so treat the baby and you decrease the risk of transmision from 95% to 5 %
