Dear coolegues what do u say regarding the reporting of spousal abuse...should we report or not???UW and kaplan are contradictory over this point.Pl give ur suggestions!!!

No, you can offer help to the spouse, but whether report it or not depends on the opinion of the abused spouse. For children and elderly, it's mandatory to report.

most of the information today confuses spousal abuse with 'domestic violence', which is only part of the whole spectrum of abuse. 'Domestic violence' which is a specific form of domestic violence where physical or sexual abuse is perpetuated by one spouse upon another, or by both partners. There are separate legalities and punishments applied to such a crime as opposed to random assault or assaults of another nature,its reportable.
