FA and UW: say free T3

I will go with free T3

the negative feedback at the pituitary anterior lobe is principally through T4 taken from the circulation and converted in the thyrotrope to T3 by thyrotrope deiodinase

i would like to state that under physiological conditions T4 gives negative feeback, but in hyperthyroid conditions when T4 ,T3 is elevated T3 acts as negative controller...that is what i inferred after reading the UW explanation for negative feedback??
