monthly pay during residency - lasix

I have a question, Howmuch will be my monthly pay if my annual salary is 42000 USD. and if I show my wife(she is not working) and my child as dependent.

42000/12 =3500usd am I correct?

after taxes you will take home about 2400/mo

please,
does someone know how to calculate these taxes??? aprox.. and how they changed if you are on a J1 or an H1b visas? how they changed if your wife does not work (on H4 of course)? I know the same that after taxes you take home aprox 2500-2400 but dont know how people calculate it!!

after tax it comes to around 2500-3000.
You need to deduct federal taxes(around 25%) then deduct individual state tax(around 5%)/........google the details up and do your own maths then!

Monthly payroll deductions include: Federal taxes, State taxes, social security taxes, your part on health insurance. At the end of a year, you file tax form and you will get the money you pay more, or you have to pay them the money you owe, depending on your own situation.
