yes in and around,2/3 and 1/3,
so 50 it should be

just to clarify..,.

ECF is made up of 1/4 plasma and 3/4 Interstitial...

so 1/4 of 200mL (ECF) is 50mL


Nebody know how we measure plasma vol?

Aramani...ECF.V= 3/4 interstitial V+1/4 plasma.V ( according to BRS and First Aid ( but according to Kaplan notes it is 2/3+1/3) dont know who is true...

hey,hey hold on a min u r infusing hypotonic saline.2/3 and 1/3 formula applies to isotonic fluid.it damn hard to measure how much of pure water remains in plasma becuz some of the infused hypotonic moves into ICF(i dont know how much).so almost impssible to solve this q

interesting amin.. i always learnt the 1/4 3/4th...
There must be one correct way? Regardless.. im sure on the boards there will be only one answer close to the actual amount (i.e- 66ml... 50 ml)

If anyone will get ECF ,ICF qu wrong,Amin will say I told 10 times what BRS says and what Kaplan says
