while managing the patient with g6pd in WARD

say we are following h&h every 6-8 hours
and the

patients anemia is improving

when do we order coombs test and G6PD assays

because we are not suppposed to check the g6pd assays during the episode or immediately after the episode

the case might end while following the h&h q 12 hours

so will we loose marks as giving the g6pd as the last bunch of orrderss

its like

when the patient is admitted to the floor

after we have stabilized him

we have to get g6pd levels and coombs

it mostly will show normal ( and not low ) but we still have to get it once while the patient is in the ward

and then to confirm the diagnosis we have to get it again after 2 months
