26 yo female came to office with intermittent PALPITATIOns. Exam reveals mid systolic click and late low grade systolic murmur... Echo confirms ur disgnosis...THe next best step is?
A) Discuss options regarding valve replacement
b) Suggest Treatment with beta blockers
C)observation with Antibiotic prophylaxis for dental procedures.
d)Advice abstinence from exercise and stressful activitie

B...the low grade murmur is with a flow murmur with MVP only it does not indicate MR.....MR the murmur is usually high grade and PANsystolic....
only BB needed to dec the HR inc the preload,and inc the diastolic interval to improve filling

C if asymp pt. I also think B because of palpitation. But the ans from Cjay is A.
A is only when pt has CHF symp. Any other ideas?

guys C is only if associated MR murmur which is PAN systolic and not LATE systolic
A is indicated only if MVP assoc with symptomatic MR
B is the only thing indicated in this ptt
