In full acclimitization to hypoxia, hct can inc for a normal sea leval value of 45% to an ave of 60-65% with a proportional inc in Hb levels.
this inc hb makes it possible to carrynl amount of oxygen even though the arterial pO2 and oygen saturation are far lower than the sea level.
Each gm of hb can carry 1.34ml O2.
With nl bld concof 15gm/dl andO2 saturation of 97%,the arterial
O2 content would b 15x1.34x97=19.5mlO2/dl
In acclimitized Andean Nativ with Hb 20g/dl and oxygen saturation of 75%,the O2 content would b20x1.34x.75=20.1 ml/dl(not counting dissolved oxygen)

So the increased Hct. makes up for the reduced O2 saturation.

Thanks so much again and you sure prove true to your name always.
