usmle_step1

Aztreonam inhibits cell wall synthesis, but it's not active against gram + organisms. Why is that? Isn't it counter-intuitive?

because it only attach to transpeptidase of gram -ve not positive , so only inhibit cell wall synthesis in gram -ve
