HINT:- ALDOSTERONE AND CORTISOL HAVE ALMOST SIMILAR STRUCTURE , AS SUCH CORTISOL CAN ACT DIRECTLY ON COLLECTING DUCTS AND CAN FUNTION AS ALDOSTERONE THERE
BUT ,,,,,NORMALY IT DOES NOT DO THIS COZ IT GETS INACTIVATED BY AN ENZYME CALLED "11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase" .........

hi
In hypercorticolism due to its intrinsic mineralocorticoid effects producing hypokalemic metabolic alkalosis.
just guessing , pls correct me if iam wrong

OK THIS IS TRUE .....DUE TO MINERALOCORTIOD ACTIVITY , IS HYPERCORTICOLISM THRE WILL BE EXCESS SECRETION OF K+ AS WELL AS H+ PRODUCINS "HYPOKALEMIC METABOLIC ALKALOSIS"
BUT WOT U R TALKIN IS A CONDITION WEN THERE'S EXCESS CORTISOL AND WOT IM ASKING IS A NORMAL CONDION .
ANOTHER HINT :- IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING THAT INHIBITS "11-BETA-HYDROXYSTEROID DEHYDROGENASE"
